Prints 4 Queers: Fundraising Linoprint Workshop

  • Slice of Life 1636 Venables Street Vancouver, BC, V5L 2H2 Canada (map)

Celebrate Pride Month with a fun, hands-on linocut workshop! Led by a queer instructor. This beginner-friendly class is designed for anyone who wants to explore printmaking and bring your LGBTQIA+ pride-inspired designs to life. You’ll learn the basics of linocut, from sketching and transferring your designs to carving and printing them on paper. Students are encouraged to create their own unique designs or use the template prompts provided that will be printed using pride flag colours. All students will leave with 3 completed colourful prints and a hand-carved stamp.

What to Expect:

  • Participants will leave with a hand-carved stamp and up to three (3) prints with your unique design and pride colours.

  • Participants can choose to do a stamp based on the fun, queer-inspired designs provided or they can create their own unique design. Designs can be printed with a choice of different colour combinations to celebrate pride.

  • All materials will be provided including linoleum blocks, carving tools, ink pads, and paper.

  • Guidance from a queer, inclusive and supportive instructor with 5 years experience in printmaking.

Whether you’re new to art or just want to create something personal and meaningful, this workshop is for everyone celebrating Pride and self-expression!

A portion of the proceed go to Rainbow Refugee.
